LV Middlesbrough take delivery of their new 25te Hyster fork lift

2/12/2008

After a long awaited delivery time scale of over six months, LV Middlesbrough has finally taken delivery of their new fork lift, a 25te Hyster. This will complement the range of fork lifts LV Middlesbrough use at their Tees Offshore Base location.

We are now able to offer:
1–3te lifting capacity fork lifts, for general use for the stuffing of containers.
4.5te wide carriage fork lift truck, mainly used for groupage loading on our Scandinavian services.
15te Boss fork truck is utilised on quay and vessel mobilisation/demobilisation operations.
25te Hyster will now be available for the more heavyweight lifts where in the past we have hired in mobile cranes.

During the handover on Friday 1st February 2008, Hyster delivered a training session to our warehouse staff.

In January 2008, LV Middlesbrough added an extra 50,000 sq ft of warehouse capacity to its facilities to compliment the existing 80,000 sq ft warehouse. All 5 bays within the warehouses have 2 overhead cranes per bay and over 4 acres of lay down area. Due to these additions, we are now able to offer far greater warehousing capacity and services to the project market place.

Over the past year all LV Middlesbrough warehouse operatives have also been working hard with Middlesbrough College to achieve relevant NVQ’s. I am pleased to say they have all passed!
